Hey there my lovelies! Today I am doing another what I eat in a day! I have always eaten clean and healthy, but lately I have noticed myself getting super hungry at night time. So, I have started to try and incorporate more healthy carbs into my diet, to fill me up for a longer period of time. There is no strict diet plan you have to follow if you want to eat healthy. Just make sure you’re getting your greens and fruits in through out the day!

Its important to eat breakfast every morning, it’ll keep you full till the afternoon and keep you from binging on snacks because you’re hungry. This morning I had a mini cinnamon raisin bagel. Sometimes eating a full size bagel can be to heavy for me, to much dough. So the mini ones are a perfect size, on the bagel I spread about a tablespoon of light cream cheese. With my breakfast I always have some type of fruit depending on what’s in the house. Sometimes it’s a grapefruit, oranges, apples etc. On this day I had grapes, blackberries, and strawberries.

For lunch on this day I went to a local shop near me and picked up one of their “Berry Salads”. It has a ton of good greens in the mix like spinach, kale, and spring mix lettuce. For toppings it includes strawberries and blueberries as well as walnuts and feta cheese. The dressing is a light creamy Italian dressing. The portion size of this is huge so even though it’s a salad it fills me up. I also made myself a smoothie when I got home. In this smoothie is strawberries, bananas, soy milk and ice. Super simple but very delicious!

For a mid day snack I have one of my favorites. Wheat Thins, with roasted red pepper hummus. Hummus is so good for you, it’s packed with plant based protein, and is high in fiber. This snack has just enough carbs in it to keep you satisfied till dinner. This has been my go to lately just cause I love hummus so much. Other snacks I sometimes eat are apples and peanut butter, bowl of skinny pop popcorn, or veggies and ranch dressing.

My dinners are usually my biggest meal of the day, because I want to feel full through out the night and not feel deprived. At my local Aldi’s this week avocados were on sale for twenty five cents each, so I picked up a bunch. For dinner on this day, I had some pasta with a bit of spaghetti sauce, a side salad and a half of an avocado. The carbs in the pasta are what’s gonna keep me from getting hungry through the night. The avocado is full of all the good fats you want in your diet and I try to eat them as much as I can. I got my greens in at lunch but I also wanted to include some in my dinner as well. In the side salad is iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomato’s, carrots with a bit of oil and vinegar. Just because you want to eat healthy doesn’t mean you can’t still have some of your favorite meals!
