ᗰIᑎᗪ, ᗷOᗪY, ᗩᑎᗪ ᔕOᑌᒪ

Hey there my lovelies! Today I wanna discuss things, items, and habits that are good for your mind, body and soul. Sometimes, in the middle of the winter we can start to get seasonal depression. It’s can be hard to get your self going, and feel like your empowered. Here are some easy ways to add life back into your body and soul, and things that can be the pick me up you need!

ᒪEᗰOᑎ ᗯᗩTEᖇ


I add this tip in all of my healthy habits, and healthy eating blog posts. Water is one if not the most important thing to fill your body with. Water has so many incredible benefits, that will make you feel so much better. Adding lemon to your water will help with your digestive system, and help you loose weight. Start each day with a tall cup of ice cold water, and you won’t believe how much better you will start to feel. It will give you energy, keep you hydrated, and clear your mind so you can think clearly.

ᖴᒪOᗯEᖇᔕ ᗩᑎᗪ ᑭᒪᗩᑎTᔕ


Flowers and plants have a natural way of making us feel happy. Go out and buy yourself some of your favorite flowers and let the smell fill the air of your house. Flowers help provide happiness with emotional and behavioral habits, and are proven to lower anxiety and stress levels. If you have a green thumb, pick yourself up a lavender, mint, basil etc plant. Even in the middle of the winter plants can thrive as long as you give them love and care. Taking care of a plant will take your mind off of whats bothering you and allows you to throw your energy into a project.

OᑭEᑎ TᕼE ᗯIᑎᗪOᗯᔕ


Don’t allow yourself to get wrapped up in your sadness, this will only make things worse. Getting out of bed, making your bed and opening the windows will help tremendously. Sunlight is a natural anxiety and stress reducer. It allows us to remember there is a world outside for us to live. Sunlight increases your serotonin levels, causing a rush of happiness. One of the main reason people get seasonal depression is because sunlight is decreased.

ᗰᗩKE YOᑌᖇᔕEᒪᖴ ᗩ GᖇEEᑎ ᔕᗰOOTᕼIE


Green smoothies have a ton of benefits that will not only help your body but your mind as well. Add spinach and a ton of fruit to help with weight loss, boost of energy and getting in the vitamins you need. Spinach helps boost your mind function and allows you to think clearer. If your afraid it will taste gross, add lots of fruit to sweeten it up, especially bananas. You can also add honey or protein powder for extra benefits.



Meditation can be a hard thing to get started in, it often feels boring and like a waste of time. However, taking 10 to 20 minutes a day to sit and meditate can help improve your state of mind. As humans we often sweep things under the rug and tend to not deal with conflict and problems until the last minute. Meditation allows you the time your mind needs to think, problem solve and rest. You can tell yourself that everything is going to be okay, and the place you are now is where you’re meant to be. Light a candle, or turn on your diffuser while you’re meditating for extra stress relief.

KEEᑭ YOᑌᖇ ᕼOᑌᔕE TIᗪY ᗩᑎᗪ ᑕᒪEᗩᑎ


This may seem like a silly trick but stay with me. It can often make you feel down and sad when your space is cluttered and dirty. Take a day to give your house a nice long clean. Not only will it be a task that will take your mind off everything but it will make you feel less stressed to have a tidy home. Use essential oils in your mop, to wipe the counter, or to get rid of stains. This will give you the added benefits of lowering your anxiety and stress. Wash your sheets and comforter, this will make you feel happy and clean when you jump into bed at night.

ᑕᖇEᗩTE ᗩ ᐯIᔕIOᑎ ᗷOᖇEᗪ


For those of you who don’t know what a vision bored is, it’s a poster with pictures of all the goals and dreams you have. It’s a fun craft that will get your mind thinking, and you will be able to look at it everyday to keep you encouraged. Some examples are: if you want to pay off your debt, you might have a pic of money on there. If you want to buy a new car, select a pic of your favorite vehicle. It will keep you motivated to keep reaching your goals and striving for better!
